1) How do I rent one of your Properties?

You can either, click on the “Contact Us” button on the site, Call (269) 469-0468 ext 112 or email info@bluefishvacations.com to check on availability, listing your top choices in order of preference, and the specific dates you are interested in. You may also utilize the online availability calendar. Upon making your reservation, you will provide us with your Name, Address, Phone, Plus Credit Card Number to confirm your reservation. For deposit, we will bill 1/2 the cost of the rental to your credit card. The balance is billed directly to your credit card upon arrival. We can then either fax or mail you confirmation and the rental agreement. Please review and sign rental agreement, then fax or mail it to our office ASAP. 2) What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Cash, Check or Charge. We do require a credit card and a 50% payment on all rentals to confirm your reservation.

3) What is your Cancellation Policy?

Deposits are returned only if we are able to re-book your reservation. The full amount will be charged if reservation is not re-booked.

4) When do your rentals START/STOP?

Depending on the individual properties, and the time of year, our price structure changes. In season (June thru August) we rent weekly only; Friday-to-Friday or Saturday-to-Saturday, and a few Sunday-to-Sunday. Off season rental dates and prices vary depending on the individual properties and availability. Generally, weekends and Holidays are a premium, therefore priced slightly higher then mid-week, and there is usually 2-3 night minimum stay required. Off Season is beautiful in Harbor Country and perfect for weekend or mid week escapes!

5) What time is Check-in and Checkout

Check in is 4PM EST; check out is 10AM EST during the summer. Off-Season varies. We will email you last minute check in instructions a few days prior to your rental. If you have not heard from us a few days out, Please call to make arrangements for check in. We will make special arrangements for late arrivals. Remember we are one hour ahead of Chicago Time, so please plan accordingly.

6) What Amenities can I expect?

The amenities provided are a varied as the properties we provide, and are listed on the individual page of the web site. Here are some basic's one can expect: TV, DVD, Kitchens, Microwaves, Coffee Makers Toasters, Kitchenware, and Pots & pans etc. We provide you with a "starter set" of two rolls of toilet paper, a roll of paper towels, two garbage bags and some basic cleaning supplies. Linens such as sheets and towels are provided based on the number of beds. We do not supply items such as dish detergent, laundry soap, aluminum foil, charcoal etc… These items tend to accumulate over time, so it may be best to do a quick inventory of the home, and shop for sundries once you are here.

7) Where are you Located?

Our office is located at 10234 Community Hall Road in Union Pier, Michigan, in the “Re/Max” office. (Click on “our location” on our home page) There are directions to the individual homes for check in under each listing. Click on “get directions” just under the interior photos of each.

8) Is there Train Service to Harbor Country?

Amtrak stops in New Buffalo a couple times a day. Call 1-800-872-7245 or www.amtrak.com. The South Shore train makes a few stops in Michigan City Indiana, about 20 miles away. Call 1-800-356-2079 or www.nictd.com

9) What about Phones, Smoking, Pets etc.?

Almost all of the homes have phones with local calling access. Long distance is blocked on most, and requires a credit card or a cell phone. Smoking is not allowed indoors at any of the properties. Be sure to throw away any butts before your departure. Pets are not allowed in some of the properties, however please check the individual listings or call. We do have some properties, which do allow "well behaved" pets!

11) Where is the closest Hospital?

The closest Hospital to the South is about 15-20 minutes away; in Michigan City Indiana called St. Anthony’s. 888-879-8511. The closest hospital to the North is about 20-25 minutes away in St. Joseph Michigan called Lakeland Memorial. 269-983-8300
